Asia University students to be honored July 18

The Asia University America Program at Western Washington University will hold a closing ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, to congratulate 72 students from Tokyo's Asia University. The students have successfully completed the WWU-AUAP five-month English language and cultural orientation program at Western.

The ceremony will take place in the Academic Instructional Center West building, Room 204, and a dessert reception will follow immediately afterward in the fourth-floor skybridge area. This event is free and open to the public.

The AUAP offers students from Asia University in Tokyo an opportunity to study abroad at WWU. The goal of the program is to provide Asia University students with high quality English language instruction and culturally enriching extracurricular activities, while at the same time offering WWU students, faculty and staff unique opportunities for language and cultural interaction, exchange and involvement.
