Service-Learning courses now easily identifiable in Classfinder
Faculty who include service or community-based learning in their courses now have the ability to identify these courses as service-learning in Classfinder.
"Service-Learning" is now listed as a searchable option in the GUR/Course Attribute section of the Classfinder homepage, and the text “This course includes a service-learning component” will also be added at the CRN level. See Classfinder for examples and the Center for Service-Learning website for more details.
Faculty members who would like to identify 2012 courses they teach as including a service component should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the course name and CRN. Please contact Allyne at (360) 650-7518 with any questions or concerns.
Many thanks to Lisa Zuzarte, Leanna Bowman, Cindy Ferrario and Taya Winter in the Catalog and Registar’s Office for their help and support to make this attribute possible.
